Description
Finca El Opalo Farm is located in the municipality of Ahuachapan, near the city of Apaneca. The varieties harvested on the farm including Pacamara and Bourbon and Pacas. All the coffee plants on the farm are grown under shade and nourished to produce the highest quality coffee possible.
El Opalo’s Bourbons and Pacamaras are standout varietals on the farm the combination of high altitude and soils work perfectly for the growth of these varietals. Finca Opalo shares both a wet and dry mill with its sister farms. Where the mill is located they also have a separate facility where there is a programme to keep their employees working all year round while helping the environment. They have recycling programme where each
month they collect and recycle almost 400,000 lbs of plastic which keeps employees working all year round and keeps the local area clean and free of plastic waste as
much as possible.
